This makes Torches "Magic Melee Weapons", so to speak.Īlthough the Torcher's damage output may seem low at a glance, it is important to remember that the Torcher is able to increase its BAT by a percentage, much like the Priest, which, combined with its relatively low speed and lack of MP, allows it to rack up much more damage later in the game. What distinguishes them from the two, besides visuals, is that all of the Torcher's weapons require no MP to activate their magic effects, which they always have and typically is where the Torcher's true damage output comes from. They are melee weapons that are swung at enemies similar to Swords or Hammers. Torches are the weapons used by the Torcher.
